Well here I am again. Unit down with 184.07 and 184.08 lockout. Would I know? NO. Why? Because the 850 thermostat does not indicate anything on the screen when the temperature screensavers on and it also doesn't report any of these errors to the app. So if you're using the app exclusively to change the temp & you never touch the thermostat you would have no idea the units broke like mine is. Solutions might be just to change the color of the numbers to match condition, and upload to cloud app.

The functionality of the app is very elementary. The only thing you could program is time and temperature. You can't program schedules to include changes to fan speed percentage, or whether the fan is set to auto, circulate, or on for each schedule. The app really needs to offer more advanced features by adopting more comprehensive IFTTT functionality. Programming the schedules is absurdly and ridiculously cumbersome. Where is the scheduling UI update Trane has been promising for.... 3 YEARS?

Trane app disappointed with its usability, lacking simplicity and intuitive design. I struggle to navigate basic functions like setting schedules and find features like vacation mode. Despite claiming modernity, its non intuitiveness often leads to calling customer service for basic things. Browsing Apps menu proves frustrating, undermining usability. Overall, Trane app falls short in usability leaving myself longing for other alternatives.
